Supplier Portal for ESG Reporting
A supplier portal today is used not only for invoices and orders but also to collect sustainability questionnaires, certifications, and emissions data directly from the supplier – eliminating lengthy email chains and shortening new-supplier evaluation time.
Use Case: A manufacturer exporting to Europe made an ESG scorecard a mandatory component (20% of the score) in every new supplier tender, requiring suppliers to enter emissions data through the corporate supplier portal. Within a year: over 80% of key suppliers reported full sustainability data, and two suppliers with high regulatory risk were identified and replaced before any damage occurred with European customers.
